Postproduction Workflow Design
 

Developed department 4K Red Cinema workflow including HD dailies generation, Avid postproduction, 4K visual effect pipeline, 4K conform and color grading, and 4K DCP creation and exhibition, 2011-2013.

 

Developed improved department workflow for Cannon 5D and 7D using Assimilate Scratch for generating full resolution DI masters, 2012-13.

 

Developed department Avid centric workflow for use of Cannon 5D and 7D media, 2010.

 

Adapted department workflow to use Avid AMA technology and P2 HD media, 2009.

 

Presented the first UNO Media Showcase to orignate digitally from a computer server, 2004.

Migrated SMC network to Active Directory with Casper JSS Server management for 90 Macintosh Computers, 2015.

 

Designed and built low cost virtual set news studio using Tricaster Mini, HDMI cameras, IP graphics feeds and touch screen sound mixer interface, 2014.

 

Designed, specified, and supervised the upgrade and retrofit of the Nims Theater with DCI Compliant 4K projector, DCI server, 35 foot screen, and Dolby cinema surround system, 2011.

 

Migrated FTCA Media Network infrastructure to Windows 7 64bit, 2010.

 

Migrated PACPOST media network to the University of New Orleans domain, 2009.

 

Re-designed network infrastructure, storage, and client systems for migration to HD tapeless workflow based on Avid Unity ISIS and Cisco Switch equipment, 2008.

 

Designed and built state of the art postproduction, HD screening, and audio post facility at the Robert E. Nims Center with routable serial digital, MADI, and KVM infrastructure, 2006-07.

 

Designed and built a 31 seat, dual projection instructional lab for film, special effects, and audio software instruction, 2005.

 

Designed and implemented network infrastructure to support collaborative postproduction workflow between 46 specialized computer workstations using bridged gigabit switches and dual shared storage servers, 2005.

 

Built, launched, and maintained new private network domain for FTCA post producton services. (PACPOST.FTCA.UNO.EDU), 2004.

 

Designed a digital patching system using CAT5 and IEEE1394 to share multiple video decks with edit suites, 2003.

Post Katrina re-established department online presence by designing and launching a 3-tiered department web site including a discussion forum, and searchable news database, 2005-06.

 

Designed web interface and online reservation system for all postproduction resources, 2005.
